I had some originally bleached highlights colored bright red [with redken high fusion color]. But I just got a job interview and needed them removed ASAP.

I went to my stylist-- had the bright red colored with a DARK brown [a shade from black.] It covered completely. but i need it to STAY this way for my job. no drastic colors allowed. I'm going to wait atleast 48 hrs to wash and i use color safe shampoo. i realize all colors fade-- but when this does, will the bright red be visible again? how to prevent this from happening??

ANOTHER question-- how to bleach thin strands of highlights into nearly black hair. i only want one or two in my bangs for some contrast. i want a pale blonde-- noooo brassy orange. if i wait a week or so, can i purchase bleach at sally's, etc and do this on my own?
