I live in NJ and can not find loreal preference 'deep plum' hair dye. It was recommended to me but I am not sure where the poster was located. Please help if you can, in locating this color for my hair. I am trying to acheive a deep plum color. If anyone has experience with Clairol Violet Intensifier, I can go that route as well. Thank U

Preference is a pretty popular dye and will be in most large pharmacies. I think you'll just need to shop around a bit until you find one that carries it.
I think I've heard of Preference going under another name. Basically most of the boxed L'Oreal dyes are pretty similar so you should get the same effect should you be unable to find a plum shade in the Preference range.

I think Wella has some colours like that, but can't be sure since it's been some time since I've used such dyes. I'm sure you can ask your local beauty supply store, though.

That is weird because I see it at the drug store all the time.
But I just checked the US L'Oreal website and it isn't on there.
Yet it's on the Canadian one.

I remembered the other name it sometimes has - Recital. Maybe you can find that?
