I have a pet bearded dragon who is my favorite little creature in existence. Often times when I take him out to play and for exercise, he crawls to the very top of whatever it is he's sitting on. Usually, this is my head.

My question is, do I have to be cautious now with him? I don't expect he'll start eating my hair, but he does have the habit of licking things quickly, probably to get the smell of them. I'm wondering if him licking my hair when it has dye on it is hazardous to his health, or if it's okay if he climbs and sit happily atop me.

What sort of dye is it? The more natural the dye, the less hazardous, though it might still harm him a little since semi-perm vegan dyes come off easily and still could have some harmful chemicals.

I have a habit of chewing on my hair, but having my ends dyed made me stop because it tasted bitter. Good way to stop that little habit! Other than being disgusted by the taste, it never made me sick in the least way. But I'm not a lizard.
Anyway I have no clue if it would harm him much, but maybe as a caution you should keep him off of your hair if you think he'll lick away at it.

RAW True Blue. Vegan, demi-perm.

He doesn't exactly lick away at it; doesn't even lick everything all the time. Just now and then. I'll probably keep him off it for the first week, though.
