Here's my little adventure over the last couple weeks with my hair!

First, here's how I looked before:



Medium to dark brown for 19 years and some odd months.

Then, we bleached my roots with 30 volume (I had 40 volume for the rest and didn't want it on my scalp).


(Ignore the myspace face; I figured, if I was going to take a stupid angle with my camera, I might as well make a stupid face to go with it!)

We then finished bleaching me blonde a few days later.



We waited 3 days to dye my hair, during which time I toned my hair an awful lot. You can see some of the difference between the yellowy tones in the photo below.





Wash out the dye, aaaand...



Voila! Please ignore the slightly faded look along my roots. I put vaseline along my hairline to stop the dye from soaking in, and some of it got into my hair. We'll be fixing it.

It's a really beautiful color, and reminds me a bit of lapis lazuli ([url=http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/a6/Lapis_lazuli_block.jpg/250px-Lapis_lazuli_block.jpg]).

I don't know how fast it will fade, but I do know that it fades to a turquoisey color when it does.

Just finished dying the roots and have my cap on. Will wash it out tonight and take some more pictures tomorrow.

I tried adding some of my photos to my gallery/timeline and had an issue. The brand I use isn't listed (Well, RAW is, but only the color Red is available) and when I tried to go with no product, it just said 'natural'. Well, much as I wish it, that isn't my natural color :(

that colour looks really great on you..matches your skin tone well i think =].

when i had true blue it lasted so long i eventually ended up just dying over it because i got sick of it. then again my hair was pretty good and dead so it soaked up tons of dye when i dyed it.

The color looks really good and compliments your green eyes in my humble opinion. Congratulations on taking the plunge, and also certain the faded color will also look good with that product.
