Be really really thorough when you rinse it. And don't wash it every day. And a wide tooth comb should be fine on wet hair. My hair is processed to hell and I use one without any problems.

You could also try a volumising shampoo & conditioner if your hair is limp.

I think I'll need to try combing it. Normally, I just towel dry it, and without brushing it... it came out all messed up. Also, I'll try not shampooing everyday, and if that doesn't make it better I'll try something else.
