Well, I have to wait a while for any tattoos because I'm not quite 18 yet. I probably won't get it for a while after that because i need to save up money.
I'm planning on doing a little black cat on my hip. It will be a tattoo that is easily hidden because it's sort of just for me to see and know it is there. I feel like a cat represents me as a person in some ways (I know that sounds coocoo). Anyway, It will have green eyes like me as well!

My ex boyfriend wanted to do it because he's getting an apprenticeship (or was, I don't know about it anymore) at a tattoo shop. I would have been cool to get it done by someone who loved me. Now I don't even speak with him so that's out of the question. oh well. I'll make friends with another artist.

I can't really afford new tattoos right now, but here's one I got a few years ago

Someday, when I've saved up and I actually finally decide on exactly what I want and where I want it, I'm going to get a verse from the Bible tatooed in Hebrew somewhere unusual. I'm a Christian and the only female who ever studied the Hebrew language at my college, so I feel like the tattoo would remind me of and symbolize many things about my life.

Don't get one on the torso/rib area unless you can handle pain.
I made the mistake of getting a tree on my right side without consultation. They let me know know in the middle of my tattoo-ing that the sides are one of the most painful spots.

I just got a tattoo on my stomach [&leads up towards the ribs a little] just recently and I forgot how much it hurts.

My first tattoo is just over my heart.

I'm gonna get my wrists done soon.

I have heard that the rib area is very painful. Also, the feet! Mine are both on my calves and the tattooing hurt a lot less than the pose I had to sit in! Basically, I had to sit with my leg out to the side on the table like I was doing some sort of modern dance or cheerleading move for 4-5 hours at a crack. Of course, I took breaks, but it killed. I think that tatoos are great, but you pay for them in more than money. The time and physical boredom/pain take their toll, too. Oh, to be beautiful and unique, huh?

On a nice note, I get my birthday money soon, so I may finally be able to move on my idea. It was one terrible financial problem after another for 6 months, but I think we've got it under control now. I am still thinking about the sugar skull/Day of the Dead theme.

I have seven tattoo's and will at least get one more. After that, I don't know.

It's addictive for sure.

I am wondering. Do any of you guys have tattoos on your lower stomach/hipbone area? I really want to get a rose on one side and a bumble bee on the other, but I've been thinking over the last few months that it may not be such a good idea as I plan on having kids (prob not for another ten years, but still). Does anyone know if that area will be stretched badly and deform tattoos there? The bumble bee would be small. Less than 2 cm long. The rose would be more like an inch and a half in diameter or around that size. I'm just wondering if anyone has one or knows someone who has one that has had kids and if they stretched.

i also had a question. how bad is the neck area? its not bony at all but its sensitive. i was thinking of getting a spider or a scorpion on my neck underneath my ear, but im afraid it will hurt really bad, and depending on the type of pain, i can be quite a wimp.

Be very open and honest with who and what you are. If people still like you, fine, if not, that's their problem.

I have a tattoo on my neck. Well, two if you count I did one bad and then a cover up.

Hmm, it did hurt more then some of the others and at times nerves were touched. I did bite my teeth together somewhat. Then again, the one on my lower leg and back hurt like a bitch too.

Conclusion, the neck hurt but if you really want it I'd say go for it.

Although... My tattoo isn't under my ear so can't say anything about that though.
